Putting paint to canvas for me, was and is, a leap of blind faith, having little or no idea of how to create a painting, meant i didn't ever try.
Encouraged through a well meaning friend i attempted an art exercise, i was encouraged by this friend to put paint on a brush, close my eyes and let the brush do its own thing. So with closed eyes i painted shapes.

my ma's journey 2013 |
painting holds a vision beyond my thoughts which i can really appreciate as images reveal themselves on the canvas,,,( i guess before i was guided to paint i thought i had no talent therefore no right to express any art, now i allow myself to paint i realize talent is a lent word special to the gifted and the practiced and not an obstacle to an avenue of expression.
my ma's journey 2014 |
Becoming less critical and more accepting of what myself reveals through painting with colour, masterpiece or to masterpeace, when art is anything you can get away with.
as above is below~ or is it? |

if we were all to paint our own masterpiece would we be giving ourselves an opportunity to be the Master our inner PEACE.?
You do not need to have any special skill or previous experience of doing art to find a painting helpful. The aim is not to produce a wonderful work of art, but to use your creations to understand yourself better and have fun in the process.
Art can be a useful therapy for self development as well as a useful tool to aid a persons recovery from all types of life situations.
If you have never tried to paint before and you have a sense that is might be a lovely challenge then go ahead, put paint on the brush, close your eyes and approach your canvas with an open mind, it is a joy to discover what you have within you hidden inside. Happy painting.
